Who is this qualification for?
The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation is an advanced qualification that has been specifically designed for beauty therapists.
This qualification is based on beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS). This qualification is approved and supported by the Hairdressing and Beauty Industry Authority (HABIA), the standard setting body for hair, beauty, nails and spa qualifications.
Entry onto this qualification must be via previous attainment of a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline prior to undertaking this qualification. Your centre will have ensured that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.
Why is this qualification most suitable?
This qualification is the only Level 4 qualification offered by VTCT in Micropigmentation. The VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Micropigmentation is about using micropigmentation, a form of cosmetic tattooing to create make-up effects to enhance facial features. This qualification requires learners to develop skills to carry out micropigmentation treatments. This qualification allows learners to gather evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment without the need for fee paying clients.
What does this qualification cover?
This qualification has been specifically designed for the 18+ age groups, builds on existing knowledge and understanding of therapy skills and will develop an enhanced repertoire of technical skills to prepare learners for employment. Learners will have their skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.
This qualification will require research; it includes the skills involved in providing the skills involved in providing a thorough consultation with the client to formulate a specific course of treatment, tailored to suit individual client needs, use micropigmentation techniques and manage the health, safety and security of the salon. – the full list of units is presented in the learner Record of Assessment book (ROA) (specification).
