At Meso & More Training Academy, we are committed to maintaining a professional, hygienic, and safe learning environment. To ensure that all procedures are carried out to the highest standard, beauty course students must adhere to the following dress code, behaviour expectations, and client preparation guidelines.
Failure to meet these standards may result in students being unable to participate in training sessions.
Dress Code
To uphold a professional and clinical environment, students must follow these dress code requirements:
- A clean, well-pressed uniform made from cotton or polycotton must be worn for all treatments and procedures. This should allow for full movement and be suitable for high-temperature washing.
- Students must change into their uniform upon arrival to prevent any contamination from external environments.
- Lower arms must remain bare to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.
- A new disposable apron must be used for each client.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and face masks, must be worn for Level 4, 5, and 7 procedures, as per infection control protocols. Additional PPE such as visors, eyewear, and sterilised tools may be required where applicable.
- Jewellery must be kept to a minimum – only a plain wedding band and small stud earrings are permitted.
- Hair must be clean and securely tied back off the face and collar. Hairnets may be worn if necessary.
- Nail extensions are not permitted. Nails must be short, clean, and free from varnish, as long nails can harbour bacteria and pose an infection risk.
- Footwear must be clean, closed-toe, low-heeled, and comfortable. Ideally, they should only be worn within the training centre to maintain hygiene standards.
Behaviour Expectations
To maintain a focused and professional learning environment, students must:
- Store all personal belongings, including bags, outerwear, and phones, in designated storage areas unless otherwise agreed with the tutor.
- Only bring water into training sessions – no other food or drinks are permitted.
- Follow strict hygiene protocols when using mobile phones for before-and-after photos. Phones must be sanitised before the session, and gloves must be applied after taking the “before” images and removed before taking the “after” images.
Client Preparation
To ensure client safety and hygiene, the following guidelines must be followed:
- Clients’ hair must be protected with a disposable hairnet, and a disposable bib must be placed over their clothing. Additional protective coverings should be used where necessary (e.g., for hands and abdomen).
- Clients must remove all jewellery before the procedure.
Students who do not comply with these guidelines will not be permitted to participate in practical sessions or assessments, as maintaining an aseptic working environment is essential. Any breaches in clinical practice may result in referral or exclusion from assessments.
Thank you for your cooperation in upholding the highest standards at Meso & More Training Academy.
