Qualification Structure
To successfully complete the Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Entry to Aesthetics Practice (RQF)
learners must complete 6 mandatory units. These are:
Health and Safety in Aesthetics Practice
Infection Prevention and Control
Client Care, Skin Analysis, and Assessment
Electrical Science for Aesthetics Practice
Anatomy and Physiology
Provide Facial Skincare Treatments
Focus Awards Level 3 Certificate in Entry to Aesthetic Therapies (RQF)
This qualification is internally assessed. Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that
demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each
unit.
The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include some or all of the following:
• Assessor observation
• Witness testimony
• Learner product
• Worksheets
• Assignments / projects / reports
• Record of oral and written questioning
• Learner and peer reports
• Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
Learners wishing to progress from this qualification can undertake the following qualifications:
• Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Dermaplaning Treatments (RQF)
• Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling Treatments (RQF)
• Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Scalp Micropigmentation Treatment (RQF)
• Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Chemical Skin Peeling Treatments (RQF)
• Focus Awards Level 4 Certificate in Ultrasound Cavitation Treatment (RQF)
• Focus Awards Level 4 Award in Facial Anatomy and Physiology (RQF)
