The future of aesthetics is changing – will you be ready?
The UK Government has now confirmed a new national licensing scheme for non-surgical cosmetic procedures. These changes will raise standards across the industry and protect clients from unsafe treatments.
What’s changing:
- High-risk treatments (including injectables) will require a local authority licence.
- Practitioners must prove they meet strict training, insurance, and hygiene standards.
- Certain high-risk procedures will be limited to qualified healthcare professionals in CQC-registered premises.
- Under-18s will be banned from receiving high-risk treatments without medical approval.
What this means for you:
If you hold a recognised, regulated qualification, such as those awarded by OFQUAL, you’ll be in a strong position to meet the new requirements. If you don’t, now is the time to act.
Why this is a positive step:
- These new rules give committed professionals the chance to:
- Stand out from unqualified competitors.
- Build client trust with recognised credentials.
- Protect your future in an industry that’s becoming more professional than ever.
At Meso & More Training Academy, we’ve always delivered regulated qualifications that meet (and often exceed) industry standards.
We can help you turn your existing experience into a recognised qualification, or support you from your very first step into the aesthetics industry.
