COURSE INFORMATION

Ofqual Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

The aim of this unit is to develop the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to carry out emergency first aid in the workplace. You will learn the roles and responsibilities of a first aider and be able to assess, recognise and manage a casualty with a range of injuries, signs and symptoms. These will include casualties who are unresponsive, breathing or not breathing normally, use of an AED, choking or suffering from shock, external bleeding and minor injuries.

QUALIFI Level 3 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis

The overall learning outcomes of the qualification are for learners to:

  1. be able to assess the casualty.
  2. be able to carry out the recovery position.
  3. be able to provide CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
  4. be able to provide safe use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
  5. be able to manage anaphylaxis in an emergency.
