Course Information:

You must be involved in at least one hour of microteaching. You must deliver at least one 15-minute
microteaching session, which is observed and assessed by a member of the TTQi Training staff team.
For the additional 45 minutes, you can either deliver additional microteaching sessions or observe
the microteaching sessions of other learners.

You can deliver a one-to-one training session,
providing this meets the requirements of the qualification.

Progression
Successful learners can progress to other teaching, training, assessment and internal quality
assurance qualifications such as:
• Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training
• Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
• Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment
• Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Related Achievement
• Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
• Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and
Practice

Description

Course Information:
Introduction
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification, which
prepares you for teaching or training in a wide range of contexts. It does not develop competence,
as you are not required to be in a teaching position. The qualification is suitable for individuals who
wish to teach in the Further Education and Skills Sector and forms a foundation for those with little
or no previous experience of teaching or training.
The total hours of learning required for this qualification is 120.
Entry Requirements
The qualification is suitable for learners of 19 years of age and above.
There are no specific entry requirements and you do not to have teaching practice hours to achieve
the qualification, however you will need a good level of Math’s & English.
Grading and Assessment
The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments. All assessments must be met
to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.
  • Consists of three written units and a 60-minute Microteach conducted online.
